SE Wyoming | <p>I would use the break in oil first. It has a different additive package than regular oils. The John Deere brand has worked well for me.</p>
Edited to add: If you cannot load the engine then you could try this. Let it warm up first, then put the tractor in a higher low gear range. 4-low or something like that. Start tractor off at an idle then go to full throttle then back to idle. Repeat a dozen times or so. The back pressure helps to seat the rings according to the theory. Works well on gas engines for me.
