Northeast Louisiana | I would say you did the right thing. By being on the sheriffs dept for several years, you must protect your children and family first. Putting food out for him was good. The problem I have is panhandlers making good money by making working people feel sorry for them, which I doubt the he is one since he is sleeping on the street. Now for the real homeless people, I see this often and it's sad to see them sleeping on side of street in am. Also breaks my heart. But, notify the sheriffs dept or a local homeless shelter and see if they can direct him to a shelter nearby. Some of them are goodhearted people and some can not be helped. Kinda of a mix. At this day and age, you can not trust anyone anymore. That makes is even harder on us and the people that need help. Pray about it and the Lord will direct you. | |
