Subject: RE: plumbing questions

couple of ideas to help out if your pipe coming up to the bottom of the floor is cast iron and in tact and secure to the floor then you can get a brass mounting ring screw it to the loor use a cant leak wax seal anchor toilet to ring and done. If cast pipe is not secure to floor you will need to cut the cast pipe of below floor get a cast to abs adapter clamp and put in a piece of abs pipe and an abs toilet flange , it will sit on top of the existing floor screw it down and attach toilet with regular wax ring Most cast pipe toilet mounts have a lead piece coming through the floor that is then tapped over the top of the floor to form a seal hope this helps
