Last year it was -30degC (not sure of farenheight), and our furnace motor quit, it took a week to get that motor and the fireplaces literally ran the whole week. Those fireplaces (natural gas) saved our butts and house, as it stayed at -30 the whole week. So, I understand your concern about power disruptions. I believe ours are 27,000btu (one upstairs, one downstairs), really thankful to have them..... | |
