Live in a house built in the mid 50's. HAD a fireplace. With it burning, the family room was hot and the bedrooms were freezing. Remodeled the house and tore out the fireplace (chimney was deteriorating) and replaced it with a hearth on which I set a nice pellet stove. Temp in the house stays much nicer now.
