NE ND
I had terrible anxiety and was very insecure when I was a kid and had the same kind of ticks (streching mouth). I still find myself doing it when under a lot of pressure and stress. Sounds like something worrying him about school. Ask him alot of questions about what he thinks about school. If he isnt openly talking about his worries, he isnt going to say boo if you simply ask him "whats wrong". You will have to pry it out of him. Maybe he feels people will think his worrys are embarrassing or others will think he is silly to worry about what it is thats bugging him. I find it works well to talk to my kids when they are in bed before they go to sleep. They are more relaxed and tend to open up more.
