Subject: Re: Rebuiding pickup rear axle?

Central / West Texas
I second the wrecking yard idea. Have rebuilt axles on class 8 trucks, but pickups its way cheaper to just find a replacement. On a pickup that old I really cannot see buying new. I had to replace an axle on a 95 f250 we had once due to lack of oil. It was not a bad job and only cost about $250 for the new to me axle. Make sure to get the same axle ratio. The replacement axle outliving the pickup!
