For just 4 small holes I wouldn't buy or rent a hammer drill unless I had more use for it in the future. I've drilled a lot of holes with a masonry bit and a regular drill but now that I have an 18v Dewalt hammer drill in a set I bought I wouldn't go back. Beats the star bit and hammer my dad had me use when I was a kid.
