Mileage drop and corresponding gasoline demand is questionable. Not willing to accept that, but let's use ur number.
Before ethanol in 2007, crack spreads were over a buck a gallon. We needed more refinery capacity. Since the US could not build any more refineries because of political and environmental reasons. It was much easier to build these mini refineries across the Midwest resolving the refinery issue and the corn glut issue. Now after an unprecedented three short crop years in a row, we have a problem. | |
