Several weeks ago I got stuck with RUP and Atrazine 4L left in the tank for 1.5 wks. Windy every day. I agitated it for 1/2 hr. every other day. Didn't have any problems with lines plugging. I use soft water so the chems seemed to work up until about 10 min before I quit because of light rain. It still got the lambsquarter and some of the TWH but not the buttonweeds.

As for pre-filling with water, go ahead and do it and put in a cpl. teaspoons of copper sulfate to keep the water from growing algae. You can buy the copper sulfate in 50# bags at a feed store or in smaller amounts at your local farm supply store. It is sold as root killer for drains or pond algae preventers.
