Subject: Re: Water left in sprayer?

've had to leave chemicals set in the sprayer for several days before. Never have had a problem with roundup, or any of the liquid chemicals settling out. I do use a liquid AMS however. I have had to leave the sprayer set with atrazine in it for over a week once because of weather. I aggitated it every couple days. Sprayer at the time didn't have a rinse tank so it did sit in the boom all that time & had some problems with it settling out in the booms. It was a wet boom so was able to take the end caps off each section and blow most of he gunk out the ends. Current sprayer has a rinse tank so I blow the booms out every night no matter what products I am running.

As for roundup losing it effectiveness sitting for long periods. I have heard that talked hear on many occassions but have never experienced it myself.. I usually top off the tank or aggitate for a few minutes & go spay. Haven't seen a reduction in kill yet.
