Western-Central Lower Michigan
ATT and for that matter ALL business has gotten greedy about profitability. Broadband is profitable, but they can make WAY MORE MONEY on cellular.
There was some serious discussion about ATT selling off all but the Wireless and the twons with Phone Service called Uverse (tv over phone lines).
There is nobody with enough money to buy off what ATT wanted to sell. For now its not going to happen. But right in my hometown, ATT ran fiber optic cable all over JUST TO SERVE CELL SITES. They could have put in Dslams and brought DSL to a lot of rural customers along with this, but NOOOO.
I guess they can get more money forcing them to use CELL service to get high speed (4G) internet.
