Manitoba, Canada | My 875 got stuck in two gears so I took the shifter tower out and took the rail mechanism apart. I expected to see a lot of wear but found very little. It was packed well with grease and I can't see how it could have gotten jammed up. When it was stuck the shifter would not move even when it was disconnected from the transmission. Just wondering what usually causes them to jam up and if they can be rebuilt by just building them up in the right spot with welding. This is the first time I have ever had any problem with it. | |
