North Central Montana/ SW Sask | I have celiac disease. Mine is so extreme that if I even touch wheat dust it makes me sick for 3-4 weeks. It is a horrible disease, with no cure. I had to leave our farm in SW Sask because that is what we grow up there. So now I am in Tennessee. The problem with gluten is it is added to so many different things: lipstick, salad dressing, tape, stamps, envelopes, spices, flavoring in food, medications, chicken broth, and the list goes on and on. This combined with wheat varieties having higher gluten content has led to so many people having reactions. |
