Lots of good advice here. We go through spurts of keeping track of hours worked. Basically, in the winter Dad and I expect each other to put in 50 hrs a week (Dec through mid April). When and how those hours come is up to us. More weeks than not I work more than 60 hrs, but there are weeks I have my 50 hrs in and am gone first thing Friday morning. It is not so much a rule as a general guideline, kind of a benchmark. Holidays, events, etc. all come in to play.

To be very clear more of my hours come from 9 to 11 pm than 7 to 9 am. Dad is exactly the opposite. In the summer we just work--probably too many hours by most peoples account.
