| You never know until after harvest what you cost of production is per bus. because you don't know what to divide by until then. Nothing can change that fact.
This years bean crop around here just makes that point all the more valid.
Cost of production has nothing to do with marketing. Never has and never will. Cost of production will influence how long you stay in business only in so much as to rate you against the other competitors within you business field.
If you call up a market advisor and the first question he asked is "What is your cost of production?", hang up and find another one.
