| I agree with you John. Cattlefeeder made too broad of a statement. Our middle two boys both work at the elevator in high school. One was 18 but the other 16 when he started. The youngest one got in on cleaning out pits and running equipment. Then OCIA (SPELLING??) got wind that they had 2 16 yr olds working there. Came in and said they could drive the skid loader, lawn mower, use the weed trimmer, etc. told them how high to jump etc... after that they stuck our son in the feed mil where he has been for 2 yrs. He is now over 18 and can do all those jobs now. but the sad part is they are jobs he did at home! The reason our boys got the jobs at the elevator was because THEY KNEW HOW TO WORK!!
Again, a case, of too much government control.. it needs to stop and we, at the grass roots level, need to make it stop! | |
