Is feeding whole corn to calves ok or will it pass through the calf without absorbing much of the nutrients? I raise a few bottle calves every year for our own butchering. Not really any place nearby to get corn ground so I have been mostly feeding whole oats, but they are harder and harder to come by. How much more efficient would the corn be if it was ground?
