18 inchs isnt really tight till they get bigger-at 18inchs everyone can gather at the bunk-have some with 24inch's and have always been real comfortable there !Lots of cattle feeders pushing 9-12inch for space?Just showing what I do for spacing,can get by feeding that 325# calf next to its penmate that weighs 600#
