Lapel, In
First the good news.It ain't no German concoction.Made in the U.S.A. You have already gotten some good advice. That interlocking device was added a bit after the tractor was put on the market and it doesn't hurt a thing to kind of remove it, if it is still on the tractor.Where is the snap ring part that broke off? Not down in the transmission,I hope. With only 1800 hours on the tractor, nothing should be worn out. Gee I wish I had a 2630 with only that many hours on it.Don't sell it for scrap just yet.
Seriously, it sounds like a part of the snap ring had jammed the shift lever and maybe the transmission is partially locked in two gears at once.Like Sri said, pull the lever and go in with a long screwdriver or prybar and move the ****ers to where they all line up. Good luck buddy.Oh and happy anniversary.
