If it's like most gear shift levers once you take them out you can get in there and line the slots back up then just replace the shift lever. Some of course are harder to do than others,may need a long skinny pry bar or have to make one to fit.Sometimes can use the shift lever itself.Just takes a little patience and it can be done. Don't have any personal exp. with this model but have had plenty on others. Once you get it back home you can replace the o-ring or snap ring to hold it tighter.On others it works to weld the ball on the shifter and grind it back to where it should be.
On some of the older tractors it can also be done by taking the little tin covers off the front of the transmission,this is where the shifting rods go back and forth,you can then pound the rods back to neutral. Clear as mud.
