Adelaide Hills, South Australia | Can you tell me more about the float tanks. Have heard of them but never seen one or talked to anyone that has used one. What temperature does the water need to be? Do you construct it around the cow? How deep does it need to be for a large Holstein or Illawarra cow? Closest I have had was a cow with milk fever that kept trying to dive into a dam as we tried to sit her up and give her calcium. She dived in, swam out the other side and staggered around up the bank to the same spot and sat down. She did that twice before we got her going again. It was the easiest way I have ever got a cow on her feet! |
