lol, sometimes I wish farming was boring. I'm starting to notice a few gray hairs, don't really need any more. I know it's cliche, but I'd rather spend a bad day farming over a good day at an office job (well, it depends on the how bad the day is, I suppose). Not too many people know the satisfaction of watching months of hard work and preparation come together to make a successful harvest. I'll bet most people don't feel like their job is important, either. I can get by without a McDonalds, but McDonalds wouldn't exist without farmers.

The saddest day for me was when the government got involved in HEL lands calling No till as the answer to soil erosion.
NO till is not farming. No till is constantly throwing money at a problem until Jack comes.

Have you seen the pics I, and others from the Western Plains, have posted recently? The smell of freshly turned soil is one thing, but the smell of blowing dust lingering in the house after a windstorm is another.
