Check with your CPA but if you can keep your adjusted gross income for 2012 below a certain point your tax rate on the land profit will be zero. I'm not sure when or if land will come down in price , but int rates of 7 or 8 percent and 3 dollar corn would make your la d sale look pretty smart.
