valid point... however i dont know of any parent like you described who does homeschool their kids.
parents do make a huge difference. my parents cared how i did in school even though i didnt. that is why they home schooled me to where i was going to learn... the public schools couldnt "make" a kid do anything... just prescribe them drugs.
