True to a point. I'm very familiar with cell signal strength in a few miles radius of our home farm - as I'm sure most of us are. I have brought up Verizon's coverage map and zoomed right in - and have found it to be VERY accurate, HERE. Where it shows strong signal, we have it. Where it shows weak signal, it is weak. There are even tiny spots where the map shows no signal if you zoom in close enough - and sure enough, they are dead spots. Obviously, weather conditions and even seasons can make minor differences. The point I am making is that there needs to be some responsibility on the part of us as consumers, to do a little homework before signing that contract. If your farm resides in a weak signal area, expect spotty service - especially in buildings. One cannot blame the cell company for lousy service if you reside in these areas. They cannot have cell towers located every square mile. They are taking heat already from elements out there complaining about all the unsightly towers that have sprung up. I also believe help is on the way eventually - with cell signal extenders small enough to be mounted on fence posts. Once a network of those are in place, then they have no excuses for maintaining good service to everyone.
