Subject: Cooking pork chops?

Southern Indiana
Ok so maybe not a true pork chop but....I sliced up some pork loin as I do a couple times a month for pork chops. Pounded them out a little, skillet fried them with a splash of veggie oil, drained and smothered them with homemade bbq sauce. I let them simmer in the sauce for 15-20 mins until it thickens up a bit. The question is how do you get rid of the "hog" taste. Ive been around a few hogs in my days and the meat seems to taste a little like the hog smells. Yikes I know. Ive bought from different retailers with no change. Is there a trick? I still enjoy them but the wife mentioned it to me. Thanks.
