I see. That makes good sense. I will say one thing that I firmly believe. Selling crops further out than you can lock in inputs is extremely dangerous in an environment that has any possibility of being hyperinflationary. I'm not saying that we are in a hyperinflationary environment. I will say that we're closer to the potential than we've ever been though. Anyways, If you sell crops a year out, I would be quite certain to lock in inputs at the same time (at least if you're selling a significant portion of your expected production). |
