I think your excellent knowledge of the financial side of the farm business will serve you well when it comes to marketing the grain from the operation. Simply knowing when your greatest needs for cash are during the year will serve as a beacon for matching up sales and need for income.
There are many women oriented marketing programs across the country, either through the extension service or private industry. Having a peer group where you are comfortable expressing your thoughts and questions is an excellent way to acquire knowledge and improve marketing skills (google "grain marketing for women")
There are also many articles about basis available on the internet....all the way from simple to complex....google "understanding grain basis" for a host of articles.
