| I have to admit, Yes!. They seemed to be 'bloomier'. I often wondered though, the antibiotics that were present in the 'throw away' milk might of actually kept some of the scours at bay!. I don't have any scientific research on that. I just talked to the guy I worked for a little while back, and he said they were still doing it after 8 years. Can you imagine the savings of not having to buy 800+ bags of milk replacer per year?
I remember those calves were on the bottle for about a week, then were trained to drink milk out of a bucket asap. | |
