pw, I'm not sure....there's really no way to test because we vaccinate, and I understand that renders all the tests invalid? All I know is that 1) we are afraid to stop vaccinating and 2) we have not had a clinical Johne's case in 20 years. We are buying 20-20 replacer. Currently, it is costing us as much ( or more ) to buy milk replacer as it would be to use milk. I have not done studies before. I went to Expo last weekend and they were hawking pasteurizers like there's no tomorrow. But they are somewhat expensive ($10k for us) and we have nowhere to put it. We would be using high SCC milk that we are currently selling but getting docked for.
