Subject: Re: soil samples

Zabcikville, TX
I guess my original question was, does it really help? Dad has been farming the same ground for 30 years, very few samples taken. Always made around what "the neighbors" made. Not bad mouthing my brother by any means. Just have always thought they would be a good baseline. Not looking to sample every year as the land here can be quite fickle from year to year. Could be anywhere from (during growing season) cool wet, cool dry, warm wet, warm dry. Last year we had (I believe) 5 days over 100 degrees, this year, over 90 days. He's (my brother) a good man, I just help during planting and harvest. We disagree, but both love the land.
