On Thursday Sept 1st at 11am Deere had a replevin hearing in Macoupin county to get permission from the court to get back all of the powered equipment from ILLFF. This list included 2, 30 series sprayers and around 6, 9030 series tractors and 1, 8430 tractor. On Friday Sept 2nd at 7:45am Macoupin county sheriff’s dept was knocking on Tricky Ricky’s door with Deere representatives to drive the equipment away. He had already returned most of the leased equipment from another leasing company back to the dealer. Those items included 4 grain carts, 3 chisels, 1 field cultivator, 1 disk, 2 combines, 2-12 row folding corn heads, 1-24 row planter. There are still other items to be returned, but that will require more paperwork….. Spirit Family Farms http://www.spiritfamilyfarms.com/home.html has been hired to harvest most of the crops off of ILLFF’s fields and sell it directly to ADM. His 4 million bushel facility will not have much use this year. I love this quote from a 2006 Top Producer article. http://www.agweb.com/assets/import/files/515262.pdf Gary Graham, vice president and senior loan officer at the Carlinville National Bank, notes that he has worked with hundreds of farmers over the years and ranks Rosentreter in the top percent of those he has encountered. “From a lender’s viewpoint, what sets Rick apart are his marketing abilities. The average price he receives for grain is well above what we typically see,” says Graham. “He also has a unique knack for managing costs and can tell you how much it costs to grow corn per acre, per bushel, per implement. He has mapped out to the minute when it will pay to replace a truck or even a field cultivator. He never makes a move without first making sure it is going to make him money.” |
