Remsen, IA | I'm running Shield AP200 knives. The closing disks are set to run forward and high, they basically just catch the dirt off the knife and put it back over the trench. Haven't seen much trouble with the herbicide barrier except when running lower rates on the herbicide and it was running out anyway. Metering is through a Raven and distribution is through a John Blue Impellicone, very uniform in my opinion. I run 7 knives, starting in with the center and then every other row so that I don't have to run knives in the tire tracks, saves a lot of troubles with sealing. The inside 5 knives all have two hoses running to them, the outside knives have 1 hose, when you turn around the outside knife comes back in its own track so it doubles up.
