Hmmm, you spent over 10% of that roughly $40K and you are still broke down... Now you have to go spend more than $40K to get another used 6000 hour tractor that was someone elses' headache with no guarantee that the tranny won't crap out in 6 months... Personally I would haul it back to the dealer, grovel a little, and see if he will discount the labor to take it apart again...

Crop prices are what they are... That will not change until the big ag companies realize that they control the food supply and begin charging accordingly... My guess is 15 to 20 years, give or take... The family farm is all but gone now, big farms rule, and corporation controlled farming is ascending... Let some mergers and takeovers happen amongst the big producers and one day the POTUS wakes up and discovers that the price of food was doubled overnight and there is not a damn thing he can do about it... It won't help us little guys by that time, except for some mild satisfaction that the 'farmers' are at long last getting a fair price for their grains...
