I remember less than 2 decades ago wondering if I would get $4 for my beans, or if it would go below. $2.50 seemed a dream for corn.....

The market will pay the supply/ demand for grains. It doesn't owe us anything. $10 corn means everyone will be growing corn around the globe. Investments in other countries will be made to bring their feed production up to snuff. And that capibility will then be there, year in & year out.

My uncle always joked he has $12 beans in the bin - they went to that somewhere in the 1970s, and he didn't sell a 100 bu or so - said he'd keep them until it got to thst price again.

I think those beans rotted - took until 2008 didn't it?

In between, I sold a lot - most all - my beans below $7, a fair amount below $5.50.

The market doesn't have to be fair.
