Normally the only place we had real trouble w/ them squatting was when we started the pull and left the machine set longer to allow for equal watering, but it didn't seem to show up at the end of the season. Now I could take you to a field of bean under a pivot that the beans under the endgun are shorter from a hard season of watering. I agree w/ the other below, water them (we are- double and main crop beans).
