Radville, SK
That's strange. Around here, (slightly)tilled summerfallow nearly always does better than chemfallow or continuous cropping situations. Our ground gets extremely hard, though. Tilled ground nearly always handles excess rain following seeding better than no-till. I don't want to say the stuff that's worked 5 or 6 times does better every time. I'm kind of making a rule for myself that we're sticking to 1 maybe 2 tillage passes on years that we have summerfallow. This year I'm only disking all of this land because it's simply too hard to believe after 2 years of this level of moisture. I guess the 8 million sprayer tracks has something to do with it too!
