Subject: canola, summerfallow, canola

Mather, Manitoba

Didn't get everything seeded here in southern MB for excess moisture. Currently we're chemfallowing everything we didnt' get seeded. Majority of our unseeded acres are on canola stubble. Thinking we'll just cultivate the stubble twice to level off the ruts we made spraying and seed it back to canola in the spring of 2012. Will this still be enough of a break between canola crops? Tillage should help break up the disease cycle.

We have to till to get rid of ruts and tracks anyways and prob won't have enough cover to seed winter wheat.
