nw iowa | mcupps, do both, heh heh.that is a good item to mention,i'd say ,and the epa and dnr also,that you need to apply just for what your crops take out so any extra is'nt washed away or into rivers etc,but what about building a reserve or improving soil?humus and organic matter is what makes good soil and good crops.i also have seen how when you put in tile or trench something in, the crops usually grow better there. so many variables drive what fertilizer is made available to the plants, weather/moisture available for example,there remains a lot of unknowns out there even with all our present technology.
