Subject: Re: The Voice of Agriculture?

Northern CA
I understand the preaching to the choir scenario well. In CA, California Farm Bureau has a Saturday morning television program (which is also on RFDTV) which is aired on the state's PBS and even a few ABC networks. However, it is primarily at 6am, but we do receive feedback from the LA and Bay Areas about the program. I would like to see ag information go a step further: mandatory ag education at our colleges. Unfortunately I only majored in business because all the ag colleges would have required me to leave the farm at a time that was not possible. To get a bachelor's degree in business, I had to take 3 classes in the arts / humanities section. Why is it I was required to make clay bowls, identify Greek columns, and critique artwork, yet, I was not required to learn anything about the most important business in the nation?
