Subject: Question for the hydraulic experts - tell me what this does...

South Texas
Probably a stupid question here, but i've never seen an implement set up like this before. Been around lots of cylinders, rephasing, etc., but never this one. This is on a Blu Jet Landtracker i bought at an auction a few months back. There is obviously a tee at the top and bottom of the cylinder, but the one would seem to be more than just a tee... what is it? Why would there be a line connecting the pressure and return side of the cylinder together? Both wheel modules are like this, and tee in together to run back to the tractor. Anyone own one of these, or been around a setup like this?
