Central South Dakota
Buy the sprayer, rent the corn head. Our coops around here charge about $6 an acre to spray. Say you spray around 8,000 acres between multiple crops and passes that's $48,000 custom application out the door, and your crops are sprayed when you need them sprayed, not when the coop gets there. Buy a little better one than you think you need. I'd recommend a Summers with a 90' suspended boom and 1500 gal tank. That way you can spray 160 acres at a time @ 9.8 gal/ acre on 10 gal work and don't necessarly need a tender driver chasing you. $15000-18000 would get you a nice one.
