Both? If you have time to cover acres.

If you alerady have a combine 600 acres of corn will more than make the payments on a head-and leave money for repairs to boot. If you aren't already doing your own hauling that will probably end up costing you more than head.

Sprayer paid for itself faster than anything else on my farm has-less than 2 years. Just do your research and get a little bit nicer one than you think you need. Crappy sprayer will be really annoying-don't ask me how I know. Decent one is almost fun....but not as much fun as picking corn. :)

Edit-if you haven't sprayed before get a low end GPS-Raven Cruizer or something similar-with screen painting. You can get one for about $1,300 now. Makes it 10 times easier and I do a much better job than trying to guess rows.
