Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Buster - You may have been sold an amplifier that was used with some models of EZ-Guide when it was desired to get a "radar out" connection to another device such as a planter monitor.
As I recall those were necessary in some cases but may not be needed with your EZ-Guide 500.
This amplifier screwed into the back of the EZ-Guide and then the cable was plugged into it. Since the amplifier stuck out there was a high potential of breaking it off.
There were a couple of solutions. If the amplifier is not needed it could be removed altogether. Another was to use a common serial extension out of the back of the EZ-Guide which would move the amplifier further down the line where it could be secured out of the way.
