A common DB9 extension will work. You will need to break off all the pins in the male connector except 2,3, & 5.
If you don't you will send power back to the 500 causing damage.
You will need a separate power cable for the 500.
You can get the correct power & antenna cable from a Trimble or Ag Leader dealer.
