North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana
Where are you at, I am near South Bend which is only a few miles south of the border. Every year for the past 15 we have double-cropped soys after BARLEY, not wheat. Most years it isn't until the last week of June or the first of July. Have gone as late as the 8th of July and got 22 BPA. Last three years they have been in around the 25th of June and the average has been 40 bpa. I usually plant an early 3. Tried a 3.5 one year and had it not been for the early frost the seed count would have pushed it just over 50 bpa. Turned out at almost 40 bpa but they were buckshot sized greenies. So, go ahead and plant the beans you have since we are warm and wet. Just don't blame me for anything that WILL happen!
