Yes it is true to a certain extent. We have been using 32% for several years now and are having to lime about half as often. It will depend a lot on soil types as well. NH3 is hard on soil period. Soil structure is not as good with NH3 because it reduces earthworm population by quite a bit which in turn makes for tighter soils.
