The hoses are hooked up WRONG. That is probably what caused the first motor to start leaking. If you have to go to neutral before going to float that stops the motor. Going to float from that point does no good at all. The motor should be pressurized from the front position on the remote lever. Then you can go to float without passing through neutral.
