Subject: Not satisfied with spacing on 1770NT Vac meters.

Baldwin City, KS
We have been sharing equipment and labor with a neighbor, so this year I have been planting alot of corn with a 1770 that I am not real familiar with, as we have a Kinze. After some corn came up, we realized that the spacing was showing more larger skips and doubles than we liked. The meters are using the 40 cell disks and we found out that we should have had the vaccum turned up higher and been running the star knockout wheels. These meters are extremely simple looking to me and I can't think of anything else to look at. Is there anything else we should look over on this planter to correct this issue? BTW, it is a 2005 with CCS and the little bitty seed boxes. PS, running the double eliminators @ 50%. Thanks.
